The continuous search for quality
Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world after water. But only 0.5% of all tea sold has the quality it truly deserves. This fact naturally calls for change! And at the same time, it doesn’t make the search for honest, quality teas any easier. We at Bagels & Beans are constantly looking for the most refined flavors and varieties. Fortunately, we don’t do this alone, but work together with Anja Schukkink of Tea in Motion.
The tea plantations
All these special flavors come from tea plantations in southern China, southern India, South Africa and Nepal. Here are found the very finest, fairly grown teas. Tea in Motion has visited most of the tea plantations themselves. This way we can guarantee that the pickers of the tea farmers we work with receive a fair wage they can live on. Many of the plantations are located far from civilization on a mountainside. Entire families live where they work. As a result, we know that pickers get the care they deserve and their children can go to school.

Tea in Motion’s teas are pure, honest, and – where possible – organic. In collaboration with the German tea company TeeGschwendner, they test and select the finest, 100% organic teas. This company is committed to giving tea farmers a better life by helping them produce organically.
